Arunachal CM greets people on Baisakhi, Bohag Bihu

Chief Minister Pema Khandu has extended his warm greetings and best wishes for Baisakhi, Bohag Bihu, Ambedkar Jayanti, and Mahavir Jayanti that will be observed across the country on Thursday.

ishing members of Sikh, Assamese, Bengali and Jain communities serving and residing in Arunachal Pradesh, Khandu expressed optimism that their respective festivals will further the bond of bonhomie and brotherhood with other communities of the state.

“These festivals are not only to celebrate for joy and fun but also to celebrate our unity for peace and progress of our state and the country. I personally join with you all in your celebrations,” he said in a message here this evening.

Paying rich tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, Khandu said, “One of the most prominent social reformers of India, Ambedkar is known for his fight against the social evil of untouchability and the inequalities posed by the caste system of India.”

“We as Indians will always remain indebted to Ambedkar ji for his invaluable contribution to the Indian legal system and framing of the Constitution,” he added.
