Army establishes Computer Training Lab at Khurkhul

Imphal: In a significant step towards enhancing digital literacy and fostering quality education, the Indian Army established a Computer Training Lab at Lerijao Upper Primary School in Khurkhul (Keingam) of Imphal West District in Manipur on 03 March 2025. 

The facility is equipped with computers, printers and other IT peripherals providing modern educational tools and opportunities for young children. The training lab further aims to bridge the digital divide by enabling students to develop crucial computer knowledge and enhance digital literacy. 

The inaugural event witnessed enthusiastic participation of children, young students and locals. The teachers and the village elders expressed their deepest gratitude towards the Indian Army for the initiative. 

The Indian Army remains committed towards community development by enhancing access to quality education and reducing digital divide. The initiative will empower the children with the skills required for a brighter future.
