Imphal: The Assam Rifles have undertaken significant humanitarian initiatives to support Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in relief camps at Oksongbung and Tronglaobi in Sendra Village, Bishnupur District.
They distributed storage water tanks and basic hygiene and sanitation items to 150 villagers.
In another incident, Assam Rifles provided urgent medical assistance to Liatneilhing, a 34-year-old resident of Santing village, Churachandpur District, who suffered a snake bite on her right leg while working in the fields. The medical team promptly administered essential care, stabilizing her condition. Liatneilhing is now on the road to recovery.
