Agartala: The Divisional Railway Manager of Lumding Division of Northeast Frontier Railway J S Lakra after reviewing the progress of the 15.6 km railway track between Agartala and Akhaura railway connecting Bangladesh reiterated that the project would likely be completed in September next year.
Lakra arrived here on a two-day visit to see the construction of railways in the state and visited Nischintapur along with Tripura – Bangladesh border.
The project was supposed to be completed by now but, the Covid-19 pandemic has delayed the work for a year, he said.
