Imphal: After days of single-digit positive cases, Manipur witnessed 10 positive cases among the general population and 3 personnel from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm on Tuesday. Meanwhile, during the same period, 2 persons recovered and there was no report of any deaths, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The recovery rate now stands at 98.57%.
The 10 positive persons (4 males and 6 females) from the general population include 4 from Imphal West, 1 each from Imphal East, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Kakching, Senapati and Ukhrul. Of the two recovered cases, one was on home isolation while the other was admitted to JNIMS.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,352(General Population — 25,910 and Central Security Personnel — 3,442). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,935 (General Population — 25,506 and CAPF— 3,429). The number of active cases is 44 (general population 35 and CAPF 9).
As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on March 22, is 46 and the cumulative vaccination number is 82036, the release added.
The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 31180 which include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
There are no severe reactions/allergies, adverse events following immunization to date. There were 47 mild reactions who were on home care and all of them have now fully recovered.
