Kolhapur: In a very unfortunate incident, a woman committed suicide along with her one and half year old son, she took him and jumped into Rankala tank, the incident occurred late this evening of Monday.
A family feud with her husband is being seen as the reason for her drastic step.
According to Juna Rajwada police, woman was identified as Ruksar Anis Nishandar(26) and her son Umar(one and half year old), they were residents of Rankala Tower and were originaly from Pattankodoli of Hatkanangale tehsil of this district.
After a feud with her husband Anis, Ruksar took the extreme step and jumped into historic Rankala tank with her son late this evening.
After received information, police rushed to the spot with Kolhapur Muncipal corporation fire-brigade personals, who fished out the dead bodies of Ruksar and her son late the night.
A tense situation arises at Chhatrapati Pramila Raje Civil hosoital, where both the bodies brought for postmortem, when the husband and hus family members came to take bodies but Ruksar’s mother and other family members refused to give bodies to her husband with demanding to book a case against husband Anus and his mother Sairabanu.
Police is further investigating the matter.
