Kishanganj: A woman of Pakistan origin with American citizenship was sent to Kishanganj jail under judicial custody on Thursday for illegally infiltrating into the Indian territory without Visa, taking a flight, and crossing the border.
According to police, the woman Farida Malik was arrested on November 1 near the Galgaliya border along Indo Nepal border. A case was lodged at the concerned police station in this connection.
Meanwhile, during the investigation, it was revealed that the name of the woman was mentioned as Farida Malik in the American passport. She however got a ticket booked in the name of Sana Akhtar for the flight from Delhi to Bagdogra. The woman had earlier arrived in Delhi from Pantnagar. Air tickets from Pantnagar to Delhi and from Delhi to Bagdogra were also recovered from the possession of the women. Two – three additional air tickets were also recovered from her possession.
