Imphal: Chief Minister N. Biren Singh attended the release function of over Rs. 19,000 crore to more than 9.5 crore farmer families through DBT by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the first installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi for the financial year 2021-22 held via video conferencing today.
Speaking at the sideline of the programme, N. Biren Singh thanked the Prime Minister for releasing the amount at a time when people are facing lots of difficulty and hardship due to COVID-19 pandemic. He further said that 2,67,109 farmers had been benefited involving around Rs. 53.42 crores in today’s release of fund.
