One death, 15 positive cases Friday in Manipur, recovery rate now at 98.23%

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Friday one person a 74-year-old male resident expired at RIMS. The death toll in Manipur due to the Covid-19 pandemic now stands at 371. During the same period, 15 persons ( 9 males, 6 females) from the general population tested positive, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room. 

The 15 persons who tested positive include 4 each from Imphal West and Imphal East, 2 from Bishnupur and 1 each from Thoubal, Kakching, Tengoupal, Chandel and Tamenglong.

Meanwhile, 25 persons were discharged from Home Isolation and various CCCs of the state. 21 of those discharged are from Home Isolation, 2 from LANVA and 1 each from SHIR and DH Chandel.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,037 (General Population — 25,614 and Central Security Personnel — 3,423). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,524 (General Population — 25,114 and Central Security Personnel — 3,410). The number of active cases is 141 (general population 133 and CAPF 9). The recovery rate is 98.23 %, the release added.
