Churachandpur: Fostering youth development through experiential learning and community engagement, the Assam Rifles organised an educational excursion for the students of Mata Lambulane Government School in the Churachandpur district of Manipur on 23 October 2026. The outdoor initiative aimed to expand academic horizons beyond traditional classroom boundaries, encouraging cognitive growth, environmental awareness, and constructive peer interaction in an organised recreational environment.
The day-long programme facilitated outdoor exploration and experiential learning for a cohort of 56 students, who visited popular local destinations including Geljang Resort and Green Hills. Accompanied by nine school teachers, the trip was executed under the comprehensive guidance and supervision of a 13-member contingent of Assam Rifles personnel. During the visits, the children engaged in structured group activities, environmental observation, and social interaction, gaining valuable exposure to surroundings outside their regular academic routine. The accompanying school faculty and security personnel ensured complete supervision and smooth coordination throughout the scheduled itinerary. By facilitating opportunities for outdoor education, observation, and social bonding, the event highlighted the positive impact of experiential activities on young minds. This initiative reflects the continuing commitment of the Assam Rifles towards nurturing youth, encouraging holistic educational experiences, and strengthening community relations across Manipur.
