Kakching: A consultation meeting with representatives of all recognised political parties regarding the Special Summary Revision (SSR) of Photo Electoral Rolls was conducted today at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner/District Election Officer, Kakching district.
The meeting chaired by Additional District Election Officer Shri Elangbam Anand Singh discussed various issues relating to Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls with January 1, 2027 as the qualifying date, rationalisation of polling stations, among others.
Recognised National and State political parties functioning in Kakching district, all Electoral Registeration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registeration Officers (AEROs) and Election related machinaries of the district attended the meeting.
SSR is being conducted for the enrollment of left out, young and first time eligible electors. It is to ensure that no eligible citizen is left out while no ineligible person gets included or remains in the Electoral Roll.
As per the schedule of SSR of Photo Electoral Rolls for the Kakching district, rationalisation of polling stations will be completed by November 2, 2026. While, the publication of the Integrated Draft Electoral Rolls will be done on November 12, 2026.
Meanwhile, the period for filling claims and objections is from November 12 to December 11, 2026 and disposal of claims & objections is to done by December 28, 2026. Thereafter, the final publication of the Electoral Roll will be done on January 4, 2027.
