Churachandpur: The District Administration, Churachandpur, through the District Fishery Office, conducted an awareness-cum-distribution programme for Fish Farmer Certificates at S. Kawtlian village today as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026. The programme was conducted under the supervision of Md Ziaur Rahaman, District Fishery Officer, Churachandpur.
The programme aimed to improve awareness of government support schemes and inform local farmers about the assistance and opportunities available to them.
During the programme, officials distributed fish farmer certificates to 47 beneficiaries, and around 65 fish farmers attended the awareness session. Information was provided on the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) and fish farmers’ insurance schemes to familiarise participants with the benefits, opportunities and insurance coverage available under the schemes.
