Bishnupur: District Administration, Bishnupur, in coordination with the Office of the MLA, Oinam Assembly Constituency, today organised Seva Setu Abhiyan, an outreach camp for Oinam Assembly Constituency, at Chummandaram Community Hall, Irengbam as part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026.
As part of the camp, more than 20 departments, including Fisheries, Agriculture, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Sericulture, Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM), Forest, MSPDCL, Health, DCPO, ICDS and Social Welfare, among others, set up stalls and provided facilities for beneficiary enrolment, verification, documentation and application for various government schemes.
Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, Home and YAS Minister Govindas Konthoujam stated that the Seva Setu Abhiyan is being organised as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a month-long nationwide campaign being observed from September 17 to October 17, 2026, to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service.
He stated that the Seva Setu Abhiyan aims to bring various government schemes and civic services closer to citizens by providing them in a simple, accessible and timely manner.
During the programme, eligible beneficiaries were provided aid and appliances through the Social Welfare Department. Officials and department representatives also provided guidance and assistance to citizens in availing the benefits of various government schemes.
The programme was also attended by MLA Oinam AC Irengbam Nalini, MLA Moirang AC Thongam Shanti Singh, Additional District Magistrate Toijam Opendro, SDO Nambol T. Shyamkumar, BDO T. Yaitongba and District Level Officers and officials concerned, among others.
