Kakching: As part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, the District Administration Kakching organised the first Seva Setu Abhiyan at the DC Office Complex, Kakching today.
A total of 17 departments participated in the programme, benefiting 306 beneficiaries through enrolment, verification, documentation and application facilities for various Government welfare schemes.
Usham Deben Singh, MLA, Wabagai Assembly Constituency along with Deputy Commissioner Smt. Angeline Renita R (IAS), Additional Deputy Commissioner Elangbam Anand Singh (MCS) along with the officers of the District Administration Kakching inspected stalls set up by various departments.
The Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) facilitated applications for PM Surya Ghar; the Fisheries Department provided assistance for Kisan Credit Card (KCC), loans and farmer registration; and the Kakching Municipal Council (KMC) facilitated Birth & Death Certificates, Street Vendor Loan, Property Tax and other services.
The BDO, Langmeidong provided assistance for Birth and Death Certificates, Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin/Urban (PMAY-G/U) and Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar & Ajeevika Mission (VB-G RAM G). The Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department facilitated applications under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) and Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY).
The District Social Welfare Office assisted beneficiaries with the Manipur Old Age Pension Scheme (MOAPS), Chief Minister Widow Pension Scheme (CMWPS), Ima Nongthangleima Yaipha Tengbang Scheme, Chief Ministergi Shotharabasingi Tengbang, as well as schemes for persons with disabilities and scholarships.
The Zonal Education Office, Kakching provided education-related services, while the Handloom and Textiles Department facilitated Weavers Card applications and Manipur Yarn Passbooks. Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM) pamphlet highlighting various schemes under it, District Surveillance Unit (NRCP) also distributed pamphlet educating public regarding Rabies disease.
The District Transport Office provided facilities for new, renewal, replacement and duplicate Driving Licenses and Vehicle Registration, while the Forest Department distributed saplings of different species. The CAF & PD Department and other participating departments also provided services and assistance under their respective schemes.
As part of the programme, hearing aids, appreciation certificates for Anganwadi Workers (AWW) and Accredited Social Health Activists(ASHA) workers, Manipur Old Age Pension Scheme cards, bee boxes and organic compost were distributed to beneficiaries.
The distribution programme was attended MLA Usham Deben; Deputy Commissioner Angeline Renita R (IAS); ADM Elangbam Anand Singh (MCS), SDO Kakching and BDO Kakching, along with District-Level Officers.
A health camp was also organised by the Chief Medical Officer, Kakching. Specialist consultations in Surgery, Medicine, ENT and Dental services were provided free of cost, along with medicines and diagnostic tests including Hb%, Blood Sugar, HIV and syphilis screening, Complete Blood Count (CBC), Liver Function Test(LFT) and Kidney Function Test(KFT). Assistance for enrolment for ABHA cards was also provided.
Later, a tree plantation drive was also conducted at the DC Office Complex as part of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026 organised by DFO Kakching. MLA Usham Deben Singh, DC Angeline Renita R, Elangbam Anand, ADM Kakching and other officials planted saplings on the campus.
The Seva Setu Abhiyan will continue at Waikhong Ningthoumanai Lairembi Shanglen on October 5 from 11 am to 3 pm, with various government departments scheduled to provide services to beneficiaries.
