Churachandpur: The District Administration, Churachandpur, organised a Seva Setu Abhiyan camp at the Conference Hall of the SDO/BDO Office here today as part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026.
Twelve government departments set up service counters at the venue, providing citizens access to various welfare schemes and public services without having to visit different offices separately.
The Department of Horticulture distributed mulching plastic, compost and beehives to beneficiaries and provided information on various horticulture-related schemes and support. A large number of people also enrolled for health cards under the Chief Minister-gi Hakselgi Tengbang (CMHT) and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY).
The Health Department conducted a free health camp, offering medical consultations, medicines and basic laboratory investigations. The Malaria Department also carried out free screening for typhoid and dengue.
The Social Welfare Department facilitated registrations under schemes including Ima Nongthangleima Yaipha Tengbang, widow pension and old-age pension. The Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM) conducted an awareness programme on upcoming skill-development training and enrolled interested participants.
The camp served as a single-window platform where citizens could directly approach officials for beneficiary verification, documentation, applications and enrolment. Benefits under various schemes were also distributed at the venue.
The initiative brought multiple government departments together at one location, reducing the need for citizens to make repeated visits to government offices and facilitating direct interaction with officials.
The camp witnessed a large turnout.Several beneficiaries expressed satisfaction over the convenience of receiving assistance and accessing services without having to visit different offices.
