Imphal: Four Manipur Cicil Services(MCS) officers have been appointed a Indian Civil Services(IAS) officers. The President, in exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 8(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954 read with Regulation 9(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, has appointed the four officers.
The newly appointed officers are A. Romita Devi, Addl. Secretary (CAF&PD & SCERT), Government of Manipur; K. Bono Singh, Addl. Secretary (Works & Schools Education), Government of Manipur; Kh. Lalmani Singh, Secretary, Manipur Public Service Commission and H. Balkrisna Singh, Addl. Secretary (Home, Relief & Disaster Management) & Project Director, Loktak Development Authority, Manipur.
In a Notification, issued on 18th September, 2026, by Under Secretary to the Government of India, it is stated that they have been appointed against the vacancies determined by Government of India under Regulation 5(1) of the said Regulations in consultation with the State Government for the Select List of 2024 on probation until further orders and to allocate them to the Manipur Cadre, under Rule 5(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954.
