Kakching: A preparatory meeting for the month-long nationwide observance of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, scheduled to be held from September 17 to October 17, was held today at the DC Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex, Kakching.
The campaign focuses on three broad themes—Seva (Service), Sushasan (Good Governance) and Antyodaya (Welfare of the last person).
At Kakching, the meeting was chaired by Angeline Renita R, IAS, Deputy Commissioner where she reviewed various activities planned for the month-long programme.
The activities include household and diya-lighting at Amrit Sarovar sites, Awas Yojana colonies, Jan Aushadhi Kendras and newly constructed dams or bridges under the programme Aashirwad Ka Diya. Painting, essay and elocution competitions will be organised under the programne India of Dreams (Art Seva) among educational institutions on the theme ‘My Vision of Viksit Manipur.
Other programmes include short cultural performances in local dialects highlighting stories related to beneficiaries schemes to be held under Namo Seva Gatha programme. Under Aangan Ka Utsav programme, visits and interaction with frontline Anganwadi Workers and ASHAs, and nutrition-awareness activities and camps will be held.
Cleanliness drives, tree plantation programmes, voluntary blood donation camps, beneficiary enrolment and verification, documentation and applications for various government schemes will also be undertaken.
Making Rangoli, incorporating local artistic traditions, indigenous motifs and textile geometry are among the other activities planned.
The meeting was attended by Ph. Bhavananda Sharma, ADM Kakching, AC to DC, officials of the District Administration and District Level Officers of Kakching district.
