ASCW launches dedicated mobile app for women

Guwahati: The Assam State Commission for Women (ASCW) today launched its dedicated mobile application at a programme held at the Conference Hall of the Assam State Commission for Women, Guwahati.

The application was formally launched in the presence of Ajanta Neog, Minister of Women and Child Development and Tourism, Government of Assam. Mukesh Chandra Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary, Women and Child Development Department, and Angoorlata Deka, Chairperson, Assam State Commission for Women, were also present on the occasion.

The ASCW Mobile App has been developed as an initiative of the Assam State Commission for Women in collaboration with the National Commission for Women (NCW). The application is aimed at providing women with easier, faster and more convenient access to information, assistance and services concerning women’s rights, welfare and grievances.          

The launch of the mobile application marks a significant step towards strengthening digital accessibility and citizen-centric service delivery, enabling women across Assam to access the Commission’s services in a convenient, transparent and user-friendly manner.

The application is expected to enhance the Commission’s outreach and facilitate more effective and timely redressal of grievances. By leveraging digital technology, the initiative will further strengthen the ASCW’s efforts towards women’s empowerment, protection of women’s rights and ensuring accessible support mechanisms for women across the State.
