Thoubal: Robert Singh Kshetrimayum (RR 2010), Com/Secy (SW), Government of Manipur, Electoral Roll Observer for Thoubal District, today reviewed the progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of electoral rolls during a meeting held at the Conference Hall, Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex, Thoubal.
During the interactive session, the Electoral Roll Observer Robert Singh Kshetrimayum urged all Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers to ensure that no eligible voter is left out during the revision process. Emphasising the Election Commission of India’s commitment to maintaining an accurate and inclusive electoral roll, he invited suggestions, queries and grievances from the political parties & their representatives.
Representatives of various political parties and members of the public raised concerns regarding discrepancies in the names of electors and their relatives in the electoral rolls, deletion of duplicate entries, timelines for the revision process, electors residing outside the State, and other issues related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Robert Kshetrimayum further assured the participants that all genuine grievances would be examined and addressed in accordance with the provisions and guidelines of the Election Commission of India.
The meeting was attended by District Election Officer/DC Thoubal ,Yumnam Robita, IAS, Aribam Amarjit Sharma, ADC/ERO-HRK, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), representatives of recognised National and State Political Parties.
