Bishnupur boosts MYBharat registration drive

0Bishnupur: Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam today chaired the first quarterly review meeting for the District Advisory Committee (DAC) and District Samanvay Committee (DSC) for 2026–27 at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.

The meeting was organised by the MYBharat District Office, Bishnupur in collaboration with the District Administration, Bishnupur with the objective of strengthening youth development through convergence and inter-departmental collaboration, while also enhancing the ongoing MYBharat registration drive across the district.

During the meeting, District Youth Officer, MYBharat, Bishnupur, Ms. Princi Gupta presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting the vision and objectives of MYBharat. She elaborated on the platform’s pillars of continuous youth engagement, focusing on education, skill development, employment, fitness, recreation and volunteering opportunities.

The presentation also covered the benefits of experiential learning through MYBharat, the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme, Budget Quiz and other initiatives aimed at promoting meaningful youth participation in nation-building.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Pooja Elangbam urged all departments and stakeholders to extend their full cooperation in ensuring the success of the MYBharat registration drive by encouraging eligible youth across the district to register on the MYBharat Portal. She stated that the platform provides a wide range of opportunities for volunteering, leadership development, community service, skill enhancement and active civic engagement, enabling young people to contribute meaningfully to the development of the nation.

The Deputy Commissioner also stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among all line departments, educational institutions and other stakeholders to maximize youth participation and ensure that the benefits of various MYBharat initiatives reach every eligible young person in the district.

The meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad also Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur, Toijam Opendro; Chief Medical Officer, Bishnupur; and representatives from various departments and organisations.
