Moreh: Fostering goodwill and strengthening civil-military relations along the border areas, Assam Rifles organised a Goodwill Outreach Programme at Jehovah Jireh Children’s Home in Moreh, Tengnoupal District on 04 July 2026. This people-centric initiative reflects the sustained commitment of the Force towards community welfare and humanitarian support for local populations residing in remote frontier sectors.
During the event, Assam Rifles personnel distributed essential daily-use items and stationery to the children. The primary objective of the initiative was to meet the immediate educational requirements of the residents, promote their well-being and contribute positively towards their holistic growth. The event witnessed the active participation of 28 children and four wardens, who expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Force for this thoughtful gesture and continued concern for their welfare.
A key highlight of the interaction was an impressive cultural performance presented by the children, who captivated the audience with a vibrant display of traditional cultural dances and popular Bollywood songs. The programme concluded on a patriotic note with a soulful collective rendition of “Vande Mataram,” underscoring national unity and social harmony. By reinforcing mutual trust and confidence, the outreach successfully deepened the enduring bond between Assam Rifles and the local community, promoting a spirit of cooperation and lifelong association in Tengnoupal District.
