Churachandpur: Churachandpur, May 19: The Churachandpur District Administration conducted the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign “Jan Bhagidaari Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle” across four locations—Churachandpur SDO Office Campus, M. Songgel Community Hall for Tuibong Block, Muallum village for Singngat Block, and Santing-1 for Henglep Block.
Supervised by the Sub-Divisional Officers of the respective sub-divisions, the campaign sought to strengthen public participation in developmental activities, welfare schemes, and grievance redressal mechanisms through coordinated efforts of the administration and line departments.
The programme featured public interaction, awareness sessions on government schemes, grievance collection, review of developmental issues, and inter-departmental coordination.
Key highlights included awareness drives on flagship schemes in health, education, sanitation, and livelihood; on-the-spot registration and verification of eligible beneficiaries; and a grievance redressal desk to promptly address service-related concerns.
Officials from the Health, ICDS, Education, Tribal Development, Forest, Revenue, and other departments actively engaged with the public, ensuring direct and effective service delivery. Special emphasis was placed on Aadhaar enrolment and seeking ration card applications, and the issuance of essential certificates, enabling beneficiaries to access a wide range of government entitlements. Immunization drives were also conducted alongside free general health check-ups, which included basic diagnostic services and the distribution of essential medicines.
People from different villages attended the programme in large numbers, including village chiefs, community leaders, and students. Many appreciated the government’s outreach initiative aimed at bringing essential services directly to the public.
