Imphal: To support the mental well-being, especially of students and women, the Indian Army organised a workshop on Psychological First Aid across schools and villages in Imphal East district of Manipur.
The initiative was held to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma and equip participants with coping mechanisms to handle stress effectively.
The workshop, conducted by Dr Rachana Ghosh, a distinguished Psychologist and Assistant Professor at Christ University, Delhi and she specialises in social and political psychology. The workshop was conducted from 26 Dec to 29 Dec 2024. Dr. Ghosh led the interactive sessions focused on emotional resilience, stress management, and building positive self-esteem.
The sessions were held at Sacred Hearts School, Yairipok, Saraswati Bal Vidya Mandir, Andro and with the Meira Paibis from Andro. The sessions provided participants with tools to create positive environments within their families and communities.
Teachers, students, and community members actively engaged in discussions, gaining valuable insights on mental health and resilience.
