Manipur students meet President Murmu in inspiring visit

Imphal: Twenty students from the villages of Andro, Yairipok, Yambem, and Angtha in Manipur had the unique opportunity to meet the Hon’ble President of India, Ms. Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday.

In this memorable encounter, the students presented a memento to the President and shared their dreams and aspirations, describing how her life journey has been a source of inspiration for them.

The tour, organized by the Indian Army’s Spear Corps under Operation Sadbhavna, spans ten days and will take the students to Agra and Lucknow after Delhi. These stops will allow them to explore significant historical landmarks and deepen their understanding of India’s rich cultural heritage.

This initiative promotes national integration and aims to empower young minds by exposing them to the country’s diverse history and culture. The students are scheduled to return to Imphal on November 12, 2024.
