Imphal: Manipur Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya visited Senapati district headquarters on Friday, celebrating Diwali with CRPF personnel stationed there. He extended Diwali greetings to the officers and jawans, wishing them a joyful and fulfilling life, and distributed sweets before joining them for a festive meal at the Barakhana.
Earlier in the day, Governor Acharya inaugurated an Exhibition and Traditional Food Buffet under the theme “Peace through Culture and Identity” at the Astro Turf Ground in Senapati. Organized by the Manipur North Economic Development Association (MANEDA), the event showcased cultural richness, including a remarkable performance by specially-abled children and local women.
The Governor also engaged with representatives from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Senapati, Mamoni Doley, who warmly welcomed him upon his arrival at the district headquarters.
