Imphal: The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, in collaboration with the Government of Manipur, is inviting applications for solar rooftop installations under the “PM SURYA GHAR- MUFT BIJLI YOJNA” scheme. The Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) will be responsible for implementing the scheme in the state.
The tentative costs and Central Financial Assistance (CFA)/Subsidy for residential consumers are as follows:
- For 1 kilowatt (kW) of solar capacity, the tentative cost as per MNRE Benchmark is Rs. 55,000, with a Central Government subsidy of Rs. 33,000.
- For 2 kW, the tentative cost is Rs. 1,10,000, with a subsidy of Rs. 66,000.
- For 3 kW, the tentative cost is Rs. 1,59,500, with a subsidy of Rs. 85,800.
- For 4 kW and above, the cost is Rs. 49,500 per kW, with a maximum subsidy of Rs. 85,800 (no additional subsidy is available above 3 kWp).
Please note that all costs are excluding GST. Approximately 10 square meters of space is required for every 1 kW of solar power plant.
