Kohima: Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps, visited the Red Shield Division in Leimakhong of Manipur.
During his visit, GOC visited Leimakhong Military Station, YKPI and Bishnupur to review the Internal Security situation and operational preparedness. He held discussions with the GOC Red Shield Division and the Formation Commanders on various facets and challenges of the operating environment in the state. Road map for assisting the state in instilling peace and stability in the state was discussed.
GOC complimented all ranks for high standards of professionalism, selfless commitment, high morale and neutral and unbiased approach.
The visit underscores the commitment of the Indian Army in addressing the evolving security dynamics in the state.
