Bishnupur: The Indian Army swiftly rescued a 69-year-old driver, Keisam Tomba Singh, after his truck (registration number MN05C 1574) skidded off NH-2 and overturned into a pond near Mamang Lekhai.
The incident, which took place on August 12, 2024, occurred while the truck was traveling from Moirang to Phougakchao. Soldiers from a nearby camp responded immediately, pulling the driver from the submerged vehicle.Â
A medical team provided urgent care before transporting him to the nearest government hospital.
