Centre to reserve 10% vacancies for recruitment in CAPFs, AR

The MHA decides to give 3 years of age relaxation beyond the prescribed upper age limit to Agniveers for recruitment in CAPFs and Assam Rifles.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced a decision to reserve 10 per cent of vacancies in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assam Rifles for Agniveers who complete four years under the Agnipath Scheme, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.

In a series of tweets, the Home Minister’s Office stated, “The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) decides to reserve 10% vacancies for recruitment in CAPFs and Assam Rifles for Agniveers, completing four years under the Agnipath Scheme announced by the Government of India, led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.”

The MHA also declared an age relaxation policy: “The MHA decides to give 3 years of age relaxation beyond the prescribed upper age limit to Agniveers for recruitment in CAPFs and Assam Rifles. Further, for the first batch of Agniveers, the age relaxation will be extended to 5 years beyond the prescribed upper age limit.”
