Imphal: Assam Rifles, under the aegis of the Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), has partnered with the NESEED Skill Development Training Foundation to launch a skill development program for the youth in Churachandpur district, Manipur.
The program offers training in various trades, including assistant electrician, construction wall painter, and decorator. A total of 60 candidates have enrolled in the program, which is being conducted by experienced instructors from NESEED. Upon completion of the training, candidates will receive placement assistance.
This initiative aims to empower local youth with industry-relevant skills, enhancing their employability and contributing to the region’s economic growth. Additionally, the program seeks to promote peace and progress in the area by engaging the youth in constructive activities.
The program has received an overwhelming response from the local community, with selected candidates showing great enthusiasm and dedication, according to a press note from the PRP IGAR (S).
