Emphasizing the holistic benefits of yoga, Singh noted that it fosters a healthy body and mind, contributing to a disciplined and healthier society. He mentioned that many schools, colleges, and institutions have integrated yoga into their curricula, underscoring its significance in daily life.
Singh also extolled the virtues of millets, describing them as highly nutritious and versatile. Promoting millet consumption, he argued, would improve personal health and support planetary sustainability. He announced government initiatives to raise public awareness about the benefits of millets.
Touching on international issues, the Chief Minister reiterated India’s concerns raised at a recent United Nations Human Rights Council meeting. He highlighted the challenges posed by the increased influx of people from Myanmar into India’s northeastern states and the persistent threat of transnational crimes, including drug and human trafficking.
