Imphal: The troops of the Assam Rifles Thursday seized WY tablets worth Rs 5 crore in Manipur’s border town Moreh. 

A Mobile Vehicle Check post of the Asam Rifles stationed at Cannan Veng intercepted an Auto Rickshaw attempting to evade security checks. Subsequent search operations revealed ten packets of WY tablets concealed within the vehicle, an officer of the force said.

The drugs, weighing approximately 11.74 kilograms and valued at Rupees 5,00,000,000 (5 crores) in the international market, were seized. 

Additionally, two individuals associated with the transportation of the illicit substances were also apprehended.

The confiscated drugs, along with the detained individuals, have been transferred to the Moreh Police Station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
