Indian Army collaborates to improve living conditions in Manipur’s relief camps

Imphal: Indian Army along with ‘Chakum-Gi Meiri’, an NGO and Bishnupur District Administration, distributed 65 pressure cookers to improve living conditions in relief camps. 

The effort will benefit over 8700 individuals, across 47 relief camps in Leimaram, Oinam, Nambol, Phubala, Ningthoukhong, Sunusiphai, Moirang, Khuman, Thangjing, Kumbi, Wangoo, Ithai Khunou, Chandapur, Oksongbung, Terakhongsangbi, Thanga, Kwakta and Torbung areas of Bishnupur districts of Manipur.

The event was graced by senior officers from the Red Shield Division of Indian Army and Mr Lourembam Bikram, Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur.

This initiative is the result of the joint commitment of the Indian Army, the District Administration and NGOs towards community welfare.
