Imphal: Project Bishnunaha -A Women Empowerment Initiative was inaugurated at Bishnunuha Community Hall, Yaripok on Wednesday. The project was conceived by Bishnunuha Youth Federation Yaripok (BYFY), Meira Paibes of Yaripok and Assam Rifles to empower the women of the locality by providing them with financial assistance and administrative support to establish a setup for the production of Bamboo and Kauna based products as well as Candles, Incense Sticks and other handicraft items.
The event was attended by Keisham Meghachandra, MLA Wangkkhem and President MPCC Manipur along with D.C. Thoubal and officers of Assam Rifles, said a press note from the PRO, IGAR(S).
