Imphal: “A combined team led by Inspector Kh. Henery Singh arrested Md. Imtiyaz Khan, an active member of the outfit KCP (Noyon), along with his associates Thokchom Romeshchandra Singh and Md. Salim” Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh posted on Facebook.
The post further stated that the arrests were made in connection to their involvement in extortion activities targeting various establishments, including a Pharmacy Shop at Sangakpham Bazar, a Jio Office at Mantripukhri, a godown at Mantripukhri, an Oil Pump at Chingmeirong, tiles shop at Thangal Bazar, among others.
The seized items include a Royal Enfield motorcycle and mobile phones. These individuals are associated with the outfit KCP (Noyon), and Th. Romeshchandra, the key figure, has been active since 2007, holding the rank of Sergeant. The arrested persons and seized items are now in the custody of Heingang PS for further legal proceedings, Biren Singh’s post added.
