JD(U) keeps hope alive of Nitish as PM candidate : BJP

Leader of opposition in Bihar Legislature and senior BJP leader Vijay Kumar Sinha said here that JD(U) was trying to project its leader and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as PM candidate in the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

Patna: BJP on Monday alleged that JD(U) was deliberately blaming Congress for its defeats in three states, just to keep alive hope of its leader Nitish Kumar as PM candidate in the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
Leader of opposition in Bihar Legislature and senior BJP leader Vijay Kumar Sinha said here that JD(U) was trying to project its leader and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as PM candidate in the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
Its agenda to make Kumar, a PM candidate, was hidden till now but after defeat of Congress in three startes– Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhatisgarh, JD(U) had come in open with its intention, he added.
Sinha alleged that JD(U) was deliberately blaming Congress for its defeat in the assembly elections in three states, to clear the decks for Kumar to become PM candidate in 2024 Lok Sabha election. The Bihar CM was daydreaming to become PM as there was no vacancy in 2024, he quipped.
The BJP leader said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had delivered historic speech in party headquarters in New Delhi on December 3.
PM had categorically stated that there were only four castes– women, poor, youths and farmer in the country, he added.
Chaudhary said that casteist politics had been rejected by people in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Government would have to frame policies of four castes– women, youths, poor and farmers, as listed by PM in his speech on Sunday, he added.
