Imphal: Security forces foiled a major smuggling attempt in Churachandpur District of Manipur on November 5, 2023, when 2424 bottles of Myanmar-origin Jockey Gold liquor and 885 Bottles of brand Juntus Beer loaded in a mini truck were seized and two individuals apprehended at a check post in Khuga. The apprehended individuals along with the seized items and vehicles were handed over to Churachandpur Police station for further legal proceedings.
In another success, Security forces launched a search operation in the general area of Nagaljang, Songdoi of Churachandpur District and recovered 1728 bottles of Myanmar-origin Jockey Gold liquor. The recovered liquor was handed over to Singhat Police Station for further legal proceedings, said a press note from PRO, HQ IGAR(S).
