Nashik drugs case: Mumbai Police resume search operation

A few days ago, the Mumbai Police had reached the Girna river to conduct a search operation based on information given by Wagh but due to high water in the riverbed then, they had to call off the search operation.

Nashik: The Mumbai Police on Sunday resumed search operation again for narcotic drugs allegedly dumped in Girna river by drug mafia Lalit Patil’s driver Sachin Wagh.


A few days ago, the Mumbai Police had reached the Girna river to conduct a search operation based on information given by Wagh but due to high water in the riverbed then, they had to call off the search operation.


He had told police that a large stock of drugs was thrown in Girna river between Lohner Thengoda village in Nashik’s Deola taluka.


Today, when the Mumbai Police team reached the spot and launched the search operation again for narcotics.


This time, the water level in the river was reduced by opening a gate of the dam at Lohoner Thengoda.


During a search earlier, the Mumbai Police had recovered two sacks of drugs weighing approximately 40 to 50 kgs.
