Islamabad: Police have arrested six drug peddlers including a woman, and recovered over 12 kg of narcotics from their custody in Pakistan’s capital city of Islamabad, police said in a statement.
The capital police launched a crackdown against the criminals on the outskirts of Islamabad by acting on an intelligence tip-off regarding the active presence of drug peddlers in the area, the statement said on Friday.
The police said they used technical and human resources to apprehend the terrorists, and recovered 7,000 grams of heroin and 5,770 grams of hash from their possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused at the station and further investigation is underway, the statement added.
