Hyderabad: Supporters of the former Chief Minister and TDP National President, N Chandrababu Naidu, responded to a call for a “Let’s Metro for CNB” demonstration, expressing their disapproval of his alleged illegal arrest.
In response to this call, the supporters, including IT employees, gathered to travel from Miyapur to L B Nagar, all donning block T-shirts, on Saturday between 1030 and 1130 hours.
However, unexpectedly, the Miyapur Metro Station was closed during this period by metro authorities, who cited technical reasons for their decision. This led to a heated exchange between the general public and metro officials.
Subsequently, a significant police presence was deployed at the metro station as well as at other stations along the route from Miyapur to L B Nagar. Notably, passengers wearing block T-shirts were denied access to the Metro Rail by the police.
