Thoubal: Under the ongoing “Swachhata Hi Sewa” campaign, Thoubal Municipal Council and Shikhong Sekmal Municipal Council have been organising various cleanliness activities in the district. On Wednesday, the Thoubal Municipal Council organised a door to door campaign and cleaning of Highways.
Sikhong Sekmai Municipal Council also organised a tree plantation drive and cleanliness activity along the roadside of Sikhong-Pechi road. As part of the campaign, the council will also hold a health check up camp for the sanitary workers and staff at Nongpok Sekmai PHC on 25th September, 2023.
It may be mentioned that the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ movement is gaining a steady momentum in the district with line departments also taking part in the campaign.
The fortnightly programme which began from 17th September will be continued till 2nd October 2023 in the district.
