Imphal: The last rites of Sepoy Serto Thangthang Kom, the braveheart of Indian Army, was held at his ancestral village Litan in Chandel district, Manipur on Tuesday.
The slain soldier was abducted on 16 Sep 2023 from Tarung, Neikanlong, Happy Valley, Imphal West by unknown miscreants. Later, he was found dead on 17 September 2023.
The last rites were conducted with full military honours and were attended by the family members, a large number of villagers and officers of Army, Assam Rifles and District Administration.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son.
