CPI-M seeks judicial probe into IGMC fire mishap

Seeking strict legal action against the errant officials, the party demanded that whoever is involved in this corruption should be brought to book.

Shimla:Himachal Pradesh unit of Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Friday demanded a judicial inquiry into the incident of fire in the canteen built on the attic floor floor of the new OPD block of IGMC.
Former mayor of Shimla Sanjay Chauhan said that without indulging in corruption allotment of this canteen by the administration wouldn’t have been possible.
Seeking strict legal action against the errant officials, the party demanded that whoever is involved in this corruption should be brought to book.
Terming the loss and burning of public property a criminal offence, Chauhan said that loss caused in mishap should be recovered from the culprits.
According to the preliminary assessment,lossses to the tune of Rs 60 lakh has been estimated.
