Ashatai Bhosle is the pride of Maha, says CM

On behalf of the State Government’s Department of Cultural Affairs, the famous singer Asha Bhosle was awarded Maharashtra Bhushan Award 2021 by Chief Minister Shinde last night.

The award consists of a shawl, badge, certificate and cash of Rs 25 lakh. The Chairman of the Vidhan Sabha Rahul Narvekar, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Mumbai City Guardian Minister Deepak Kesarkar, Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, famous cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, State Chief Secretary Manukmar Srivastava, Cultural Affairs Department Principal Secretary Vikas Kharge were present.

Chief Minister Mr. Shinde said that Ashatai Bhosale has sung thousands of songs in various languages ​​so far. She provided a wealth of lyrics, singing songs ranging from devotional music to disco. This is an attempt to get rid of their debt. She has made others happy through songs while experiencing struggles in her journey, said Chief Minister.

The songs sung by her sound fresh even today.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that Ashatai Bhosle’s musical journey as a singer is amazing. She has been proved by thousands of diverse songs sung by her in different languages. She has preserved the characteristic through his songs since she is a versatile singer. The success of her singing is that everyone loves to her said Fadnavis.

Minister of Cultural Affairs Mungantiwar said that the land of Maharashtra is a gem mine. Two gems in this mine are- singer Ashatai Bhosle and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. The songs sung by Ashatai give direction to life and energy to live life. He also said that the songs sung by her are still in the hearts of common people.

Secretary of Cultural Affairs Department Kharge explained the background of the Maharashtra Bhushan award.

Responding to the felicitation, singer Bhosale said that receiving the Maharashtra Bhushan Award today feels like coming home. With the blessings of father Dinanath Mangeshkar, Mother Mangeshkar, Didi Lata Mangeshkar, the journey has been done till here. Songs have enriched my life and can’t forget the musicians and co-singers along the way. She also said that we should listen to all kinds of music. Actor Sumeet Raghavan also gave a short interview to her. Initially, an audio film based on the life of singer Ashatai Bhosle was shown.

On the occasion of the Maharashtra Bhushan award ceremony, a cultural program based on the songs of singer Asha Bhosle, ‘Avaaz Chandney’ was organized. Bhosle enthralled the audience by performing various songs. Meenal Joglekar, Senior Assistant Director, Directorate General of Information and Public Relations, actor Sumeet Raghavan moderated. A large number of people’s representatives, Marathi and Hindi film industry artists, singers, senior officials and citizens were present on this occasion.
