Agartala: Two days Northeast Knowledge Festival concluded on Saturday at Tripura University with the resolution of self-reliant northeast with the leading academicians of the region on the edges of National Education Policy (NEP) with the support of Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas.
The discourses focused on how to revive Indian Knowledge System by learning through a multilingual medium.
Addressing the session, Tripura University Vice Chancellor Prof Ganga Prasad Prasain emphasized the use of Devnagari script instead of Roman for local languages of the Northeast, especially without any defined script.
Appreciating the NEP, Prof Prasain pointed out that after a long time, such student’s centric education policy has been introduced by the Government of India. A detailed learning discourse was discussed moving towards self-reliant northeast through education.
Besides scholars from different parts of the country, Vice Chancellors of all the universities of Northeast attended the festival and contributed their ideas and approaches to achieve the self-reliance goal of the region.
