Imphal: A combined team of District Police Kangpokpi, MPTC, NAB, NCB, 6 IRB and the Forest department destroyed illegal poppy plantation spread across 20 acres at Leisan, Tanrui Village, and the adjoining area of Thingphai village in Kangpokpi District.
On the same day, Bishnupur district commandos seized 104 cases of suspected heroin powder weighing 4.27 Kgs (including the weight of the containers) and arrested one Khupsian Kim alias Kimboi (30yrs) wife of Khupkhanhao of Gouchinkhup Veng, Churachandpur district. She was traveling in a Winger bearing R/No. MN 02A/8676.
The arrested person and the seized items were handed over to Moirang Police Station for further investigation, said a press note from the PRO, Manipur Police.
