Hyderabad: BJP Telangana unit President Bandi Sanjay Kumar, MP on Wednesday said his party government would set up a Special Corporation for the comprehensive development of Thandas in the state if it voted to power in the next Assemby election, scheduled to be held before December this year.
Participating in Birth Anniversary celebrations of Sant Sevalal Maharaj, held at BJP state headquarters here, Sanjay said that a Sevalal Mandir will be built in Banjara Hills here where Sevalal walked and it will be developed as a famous shrine.
He said that Sevalal was a great man who led the Banjara/ Lambada community on the right path with his religious teachings after the community faced many difficulties due to the religious propaganda of both the British and the Muslim rulers.
The BJP state president criticized Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for not attending birth anniversaries of great leaders like Dr B R Ambadekar and Sevalal.
Former MP Ravindra Naik, BJP State general secretary Bangaru Shruti, ST Morcha state president Hussan Naik and others participated in the celebrations.
