Hamirpur (HP): Rajesh Dharmani, a Congress party MLA from Ghumarwin assembly constituency of Bilaspur has turned down the offer of the state government to take a Gun man with him for his safety.
Dharmani was in the list of becoming a cabinet minister in Sukhvinder Singh Sukhoo cabinet but his name was missing at the time of oath.
He said that he was a common man and became MLA to serve the people and as such he needs no security.
Notably, Dharmani has become the MLA for the third time and was an NSUI leader when he was studying in the NIT, Hamirpur.
Dharmani had won the Ghumarwin seat defeating Rajendra Garg of the BJP who was the former Food and Civil Supplies minister of state.
