Kakinada: The Fourth district sessions court Judge M Harinarayana while delivering his judgment on Monday, in what is known as Toorangi Headmaster Murder case, has convicted the accused Yesuraju and sentenced him to undergo life imprisonment on the charge of murder and imposed another three year Jail term for committing theft.
The prosecution case was that the head master Patnala Venkatrao (57) while sleeping in his house in Velamala Toorangi village, was brutally stabbed to death by four miscreants by making entry break opening the back doors on 2019 September 13 the night.
They also stole the valuable articles and cash from the house.
Basing on the complaint of Ramadeepika, daughter of the deceased Venkatarao, the Indrapalem police have registered a case.
Akula Muralikrishna the then investigation officer, now the station house officer of Sarpavaram police station, has unraveled the mystery behind the brutal murder by apprehending the four accused, of whom three are minors.
Among them, prime accused Isukapati Yesuraju(21) of Repuru village was arrested.
District Superintendent of Police M Ravindranath babu has complimented Akula Muralikrishna for his efficient investigation and also the present rural CI K. Srinivas for his efforts in mobilizing the evidence and Indrapalem SI Nagaraju for constant monitoring of the case trial ensuring speedy conviction in the case.
