Situation under control regarding diarrhea, no need to panic : CMO

He said that teams of health department along with the administration are engaged in preventive measures in the affected areas. The situation is being constantly monitored.

Dharamshala: Kangra Chief Medical Officer Dr. Gurdarshan Gupta said after visiting diarrhea-affected villages of Pasu and Bhated on Thursday that the situation regarding diarrhea is completely under control in Kangra district. He reassured that there is no need to panic.


During his visit, he met people in the villages and inspected the conditions on the spot.

He said that teams of health department along with the administration are engaged in preventive measures in the affected areas. The situation is being constantly monitored.


He said that the District Administration, Health Department and Jal Shakti Department have taken all necessary precautionary measures on prevention. He said that the Health Department is monitoring the situation with full vigilance and all kinds of arrangements have been made to prevent the spread of diarrhea.


He told UNI that till Thursday evening, a total of 46 cases of diarrhea have come in the district, out of which only 18 are active now and their health is also stable. He told that only two of them are being treated in the hospital, rest all are undergoing treatment at their homes.


Dr. Gurdarshan Gupta said that the health department is also making people aware about this in the villages.


He said that other information related to cleanliness and health is being made available to the people by the department by going at their door steps. The CMO said that as per the instructions of the state government, all arrangements have been made by the department to control diarrhea in the district. He appealed to the people to follow all the necessary instructions, taking special care of cleanliness.
